OKcomputer - my personal ai agent
People are saying PMs aren’t worth their weight in tokens if they’re not using AI. Challenge accepted. I wanted to see the practical implications of having my very own AI agent outside of the typical workflows I use every day as a product manager at work.
I thought about my two biggest pain points in my life, hopped onto the terminal, and spun up an agent in discord using Open Claw.
Job Application agent
Applying for jobs is often considered a full time job in itself. I was spending ~3 hours a day looking at job boards, considering which jobs were fits, tailoring resumes to fit the JD, and then going through the arduous process of filling out an application. Unfortunately, most job application sites are still blocking ‘bots’ through captcha, so there’s only so much you can automate.
Daily Workflow
[Automated] Fresh job postings get sent to agent’s email address
[Agent] Reviews job postings and filters for salary, experience fit, company type
[Agent] Picks which jobs to apply for
[Agent] Tailors resume to fit job description, highlights relevant keywords, rewrites about section. Saves files to computer.
[Agent] Emails me with job picks, informational highlights, and resume docs
[Me] Opens application websites, fills out required information, submits resume
[Me] Gets hired :)
Calendar agent
Why is managing a calendar so hard? Sometimes when I schedule a pilates class, it will allow me to add it to my Apple Calendar with an .ics download. Sometimes when I schedule a massage, it only has the option to add to a Google calendar. I use Proton Mail, which doesn’t sync with anything else.
I wanted ALL of my events in my Apple Calendar. Events in my inbox, events I scheduled myself, events I got invited to. ALL of them. Now my agent adds them for me.

[Me] Attends event!
I love AI, I do. But you know what else is neat? Human creativity. Pure, unbridled brainpower.
Before agents were mainstream, I desperately needed a creative outlet. I consider myself a creative person, but not so much to be really really good at stuff. Like, I’m not a painter, I can’t sing, I can write fine but who has time to write a book? So in my free time I worked on the Swamplord Megaplex. When people ask me what it is, I don’t know how to respond. It’s my creative outlet.

Studio Fit
Like I said, I’m not always on a computer. I like being active outdoors and in the gym. I turned my passion for weight lifting into a fun side job teaching strength classes at my local studio.
I love teaching others and watching them learn and grow, something that I apply both at the studio and at work. I also love making playlists, and making people listen to the music I like.
And yes, I did build the website for the studio, too.
